ST. LOUIS, MO — Calvary Church of Naperville, Illinois has a long and storied history in all levels of Assemblies of God Bible Quiz, both Teen and Junior versions. But at the 2021 Teen National Finals, they did something that their BQ ministry had not done before, and in the process did something that no other church has done before. (Good two-part question in the making, eh?)
ST. LOUIS, MO — The 2021 AG Teen Bible Quiz National Finals has come down to the last two rounds of play, and which team will win it all is still very much undecided.
The “J” team from Calvary Church in Naperville, Illinois still stands at the top of the table in the Championship Division, as they have from the beginning of the tournament. But that team, comprised of the Powell family, has seen its lead shrink to just one game after they lost two rounds on Wednesday. Sitting right behind Naperville is the Ponraj family team from Deeper Life Church of Burien, Washington, who are alone in second place with a 14-3 record.
ST. LOUIS, MO — We have reached the halfway point of Wednesday’s play at the 2021 AG Teen Bible Quiz National Finals, and Calvary Church’s “J” team from Naperville, Illinois remains at the top of the leaderboard.
Naperville was unbeaten until Round 13, when they lost a neck-and-neck match to Central Assembly of Houston, Pennsylvania. Behind Naperville by a game, Houston is tied with Deeper Life Church “Ponraj Family” of Burien, Washington with 11-2 records. Colorado Springs, CO “Brookbank Family” is tied for fourth with the #1 team from Trinity Church, Cedar Hill, Texas with 9-4 records.
ST. LOUIS — Monday’s preliminary rounds are now complete at the 2021 AG Teen Bible Quiz National Finals, and 20 teams will move up to Championship Division play beginning Tuesday morning.
Playoff games were required to break a two-way tie for fourth place in Group A, and a pair of playoffs were needed to break a four-way tie for third, with the winners of each of those matches advancing to the Championship Division.
